Sugar Loaf Provincial Park

Located in New Brunswick’s Appalachian Mountain Range, Sugar Loaf Provincial Park is a large stretch of stunning land with over 25 km of a hiking and biking trails, including the 4 km Terry Fox Trail.

Restigouche Regional Museum

The Restigouche Regional Museum explores the local history of the region, including stories of visits from the rich and famous and parts of its most recent history- the 2003 Bathurst-Campbellton Canada Winter Games!

The Battle of the Restigouche

Fought in the shallow waters of the Restigouche River, the Battle of the Restigouche was the last naval battle of the Seven Years War between France and England over the colony of New France.

When the British got word of the French sending in support ships through the Restigouche River, they prepared for an attack. While the British eventually won the battle and later, the war, the French were remembered for showing strength in battle.

After more than 200 years underwater, archeological excavations took place to bring artifacts of the sunken French naval ship, the Machault, to land. At The Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site, guests can explore these sunken treasures and learn more about this epic battle.

Recreaplex

A great place to take the kids or to enjoy a good workout, the Recreaplex multipurpose facility is home to a massive 25-meter pool with a 100 foot water slide, Tarzan rope, kiddy pool & slide, sauna and hot tub. A total aquatic experience, the Recreaplex is a great place to take the kids for an afternoon of fun!

Inch Arran Park

Named by settlers who travelled to the area from the Isle of Arran in Scotland, Inch Arran is a long stretch of beach area which features beautiful arched rock formations and walking.

Just a short walk up the beach you’ll find the Inch Arran Lighthouse- built in 1870 to guide ships safely at night, it became a Federal Heritage Building in 1991.

Enjoy a dip in the saltwater Bay or take some birdwatching! Avid birdwatcher are known to see Shorebirds, Eagles and even a Great Blue Heron!
